Carol had lived for 40 years in Syosset, NY where she was employed by the Syosset School District as a teachers' aid. Later in life, she enjoyed volunteer work at the Geisinger Hospital in Wilkes Barre, PA and also at Willow Valley Retirement Community where she resided. Carol was also a faithful member of the Messiah P.M. Church of Bear Creek Township, PA.

She is survived by four children; Gail G., wife of William Holmes of Parkesburg, PA, Diane, wife of Joe Zunno of Roy, WA, Darlene, wife of Kurt Johnson of Long Island, NY and David Gerow and wife Tina of Carmel, CA, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one sister Audrey Roe of Westtown, NY.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 3pm from the Manor at the Willow Valley Retirement Community, 211 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 12noon from the Messiah P.M. Church, 110 Pittston Blvd., Bear Creek Township, PA followed by interment at the Maple Hill Cemetery. Viewing at the church from 11am to 12noon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either  The Salvation Army  or to the  Water Street Rescue Mission  .
