Bruce Allan Robbins, born on January 12, 1930, in Sayre, PA, passed away peacefully in his home in Ronks, PA, on February 9, 2026. He lived a life distinguished by hard work, family dedication, and a love for sports and the outdoors.
A proud graduate of Estella High School, Class of 1949, Bruce embarked on a commendable career. He was employed at Lukens Steel as a Heat Recorder and also enjoyed working in construction as a house painter. His commitment to his profession showcased his hard-working nature, which earned him a reputation as a great provider for his family.
Bruce proudly served in the United States Air Force, stationed in England, where he became a member of the Championship Air Force Baseball team. His love for sports extended beyond his military career, as he was known to be an avid sports fan. He cherished watching his favorite teams on television, finding joy in the excitement of every game. Hunter and fisherman at heart, he found peace in nature and relished visits to the casino for a bit of fun.
Bruce is survived by his loving family, including his daughters, Karen L. Steffy and her husband Ed of Ronks, PA, and Lisa M. Radcliff of Ronks, PA. He is also survived by his son, Gregory Robbins of Atglen, PA, and his stepchild, Steve Gilmore of Christiana, PA. In his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be remembered fondly by his nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by his warmth and love.
Bruce joins his beloved wife, Shirley Gilmore Robbins, and his daughter, Mary Jane Robbins, in eternal rest. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
His viewing will take place on March 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Wilde Funeral Home located at 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA. The family invites all who knew Bruce to come and celebrate his life and the legacy of love he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by family and friends alike.
