Brad Allan Rhoades

January 6, 1973 — August 30, 2025

Brad Allan Rhoades, 52, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Brad was the husband of Amy Taggart Rhoades, stepfather of Jason and Josh Acker, and the son of Charles E. and Diann (McGibbon) Rhoades Jr., all of Coatesville.

He grew up in Coatesville, graduated from Coatesville High School in 1991 and earned an associate degree from Penn State Technical School before building a career in the operator union as a heavy equipment mechanic.

Brad was quick to help anyone that needed assistance, whether it was work on a family members vehicle, home, yard but never asked for help in return. He would undertake many projects in his home or pole barn, getting most to "almost complete" like that was Brad's way of having something to talk about.

Brad loved his family and he was often at his parents’ home, mostly to check in and spend time eating eggs that he claimed to never want. He had a soft spot for Philly sports, especially the Eagles and Penn State (we all will remember Brad wearing that Penn State hat) and a way of giving you a hard time that let you know you mattered to him.

Everyone that knew Brad will remember him for being a loving brother, father, uncle, friend and husband.

He is survived by his wife, Amy; his sons, Jason and Josh Acker; and his siblings, Brian, Lance, and Eric.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to __https://donate.eaglesautismfoundation.org/donations/new?event=772a444ceb60b5044aad__.
