Barbara Sue Miller, 82, of Atglen, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Abbeyville Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster, PA.
Born at Coatesville Hospital in Coatesville, PA, Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late Harry Winfield Scott Miller and Isabel Miller. She attended Octorara School District and dedicated her life to serving others through her work in environmental services at Harrison House Nursing Facility, where she worked faithfully for 27 years. She was always very dedicated to family and cared for her mother in their home for many years.
Barbara will be remembered most for the joy she brought to those around her. With an amazing smile and a distinctive, contagious laugh, she had a gift for lighting up every room she entered. She entered this world with challenges, but never let it bring her down, she made the most of every situation and stayed positive. She is remembered by her family for her wonderful sense of humor, her love of the WWF, and her heart of gold.
She is survived by her brothers, Ronald L. Miller (Veronica Miller - Kinzers, PA) and Richard W. Miller (Christiana, PA); and her sister, Shirley A. Ryman (the late Robert Ryman Fairfax, VA). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly: nieces Elizabeth S. Van Aulen (Landisville, PA), Lisa D. Kaplan (Jeffery Kaplan - South Riding, VA), Tammy M. Eno (Cochranville, PA), Sharon D. Barlow (the late Joseph Barlow II - Quarryville), Dawn D. Sandoval (Arizona), and nephews Harry W. S. Miller (partner Amanda Uphole - Airville, PA), Mike Miller (West Reading, PA), Daniel S. Miller (Gap, PA), and Mark D. Irwin (Susan Irwin, New Holland, PA).
Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, N. Jane Irwin, and her niece, Robyn R. Lowe.
