Arrietta E. Hess

Arrietta E. Hess, 91, of Morgantown, formerly of Parkesburg, died on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 while being cared for at the home of her granddaughter Jeanette Rader. She was the wife of the late Charles Hess who died in 1987. Born in Chester County, she was the daughter of the late John and Leah McGinnis.

Arrietta was employed by the Lenover Corporation in Atglen. She was a member of the Parkesburg Methodist Church. She enjoyed bingo at the Paradise Fire Co.

She is survived by two children; Barry Hess of Parkesburg and Sandra, wife of Jack Lyons of Narvon, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and one sister Elsie Gates of Downingtown. She was preceded in death by a son Charles and one sister Betty Fox.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 11am at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery, Parkesburg. Viewing on Wednesday eve. 6 to 8pm and also Thursday morning from 10 to 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Wilde Funeral Home to help the family defray funeral expenses.
