Coatesville

Ann Marie Jean Jackson, formerly of Coatesville, passed away peacefully Monday, October 27, 2025 at Heatherwood Retirement Community in Honey Brook, PA. Born May 2, 1948 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of Walter W. Wescoe and Dorothy T. Wescoe (nee Speicher). She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Kimberly Ann and Thomas Price Stenley of Taneytown, MD; Kelly Marie and Robert Charles Chupein of Thorndale, PA; and Jason Andrew and Laura Ann Jackson, of Fairfield, PA; and her two beloved grandchildren, Ethan William Stenley and Isabel Rivera Jackson.

Once named Allentown’s Most Beautiful Baby, Ann Marie graduated in 1966 from Allentown Central Catholic High School, where she made life-long friends and worked on the school newspaper. After graduation, she moved to Washington, DC to work as a clerk typist for the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation for a year and then as a secretary for Burroughs Corp., where she met her husband, William D. Jackson. Ann Marie and Bill were married on March 23, 1968 and enjoyed 56 years of marriage before his death on February 12, 2025.

Ann Marie was gregarious and had a phenomenal memory. She enjoyed listening to people’s life stories and inquiring about their families. She moved her own family multiple times to Michigan, Illinois, and throughout Pennsylvania, each time forging new friendships and actively contributing to her faith and neighborhood communities. Throughout her life she held a variety of jobs, most notably as the executive secretary for Johnson Securities in Malvern for 17 years and then as an administrative assistant at Commerce Bank, now TD Bank, in King of Prussia before relocating to Jersey Shore, PA, to run the Pine Creek Inn with her husband for a number of years. Before retiring, she was a hostess at The Eagle Tavern and a switchboard operator at Brandywine Hospital.

An avid bowler and plantswoman, Ann Marie’s favorite pastime was socializing. She was a lively hostess who enjoyed planning and executing memorable neighborhood and family parties and gatherings, including annual trips to Ocean City (NJ), Virginia Beach, and her favorite, Cape May. She absolutely loved the ocean and enjoyed numerous trips abroad to tropical destinations. She also liked playing games, particularly Scrabble, watching movies, and was a voracious reader of fiction.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by two brothers, Richard and Michael Wescoe, and numerous cousins. Like her husband, she donated her body to science and will be cremated. A joint celebration of life for Ann Marie and Bill will be held in the new year.
