Alfred L. Swift Jr., 92, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Sterling Healthcare and Rehab Center in Media, PA. Born in Parkesburg, Alfred was the son of the late Alfred Sr. and Ida Detterlien Swift.

He had worked as a farmhand.

He is survived by a sister, Doris E. Weaver of Elverson and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 1 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Homeville F.B.G. Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Funeral Home from 12 noon until 1 PM.
