William E. Cawley, 79, of West Chester, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Maria Rosaria Blando Cawley with whom he shared 20 years of marriage. Born in the State of Washington, he was the son of the late Charles Cawley and Adele Mars Cawley Smith.
Bill was employed for 40 years by NBC, WCAU Television in Bala Cynwyd, PA as an editor.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by one daughter; Lauren Cawley-Conley and husband Keith of New Jersey, one stepson Ronald Damian Nocella of Baltimore, MD and one sister Anne Adele of Oregon. He was preceded in death by one brother Robert Cawley.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Remembering Bill
My main memory of Bill was his laugh. He laughed easily, and knew how to laugh at himself. Bill was smart, and enjoyed sitting an talking about Whatever. I live in Canada now. I always enjoy visits to my home state of Pennsylvania, but they won't be quite the same without Bill. Dave Perry

Bill was one of my oldest and dearest friends for 65 years or more. What a sweet, honest soul.
He was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

So sad to lose one of the nicest guys I've ever known. He was a good friend and colleague, always with a smile and gentle kindness. He always laughed at my dumb jokes, too. He will be sorely missed. I hope Eternity is sweet, Bill.

Bill was one of my favorite co-workers at Channel 10. We were always happy to work together because he was a great editor and we laughed about so many things in his edit room we could miss our spot in the show if we didn’t settle down. He was a lovely person and he will be dearly missed.
