Sharon Ann Dunfee, 67, of West Grove, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday,  August 31, 2023. She was the wife of the late David S. Dunfee who died in 2021. They shared 42 years of marriage together.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Aaron Enoch Sexton and Ruby Geraldine Phipps Sexton.

Sharon grew up in the Wilmington area and was a 1974 graduate of the A.I. DuPont High School. A resident of West Grove for 45 years, she was employed for 16 years by North Creek Nurseries in Landenberg, PA. 

Sharon and her husband David were charter members of Highland Baptist Church, Parkesburg, PA.

She is survived by two children; Dawn Oatman and husband Jeremy of Christiana, PA and Matthew Dunfee of West Grove, PA, eight grandchildren and one brother Steve Sexton and wife Pam of Brentwood, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Baptist Church, 1 E. Highland Road, Parkesburg, Pennsylvania 19365. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 10:00 AM to the time of the service.

Burial will be private at the Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington, Delaware.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful Sharon with North Creek for 16 years.  She was an amazing person- strong, kind, smart, witty, dedicated, hard working, and very caring.  We love her so much.  Please accept our deepest sympathy as you grieve for your Mom/Gigi.
