Condolences

My grandfather Francis worked with him and my dad would take me to the garage in Parkesburg I remember going to see Bob joking how much of a crook he was. He say "What you expect my math teacher embezzle money from the club." Or "This separates me from starvation." I'm going to miss him.

Mr. Walton was our mechanic and became our friend.  He was always so nice.  Whenever we called the garage, Mr. Walton would answer, "Hello Walton" and whenever we needed service on any of our vehicles, Mr. Walton would always say, "Bring it down."  He always gave me a ride back up the hill and even brought my car back to me.  When I would stop in or call him for the total of my bill, I would always repeat it and whatever the cents were Mr. Walton would say, "That's my profit."  He had a great sense of humor and was kindhearted.  He loved his afternoon ice cream cones from Bell's Delites and always talked about the good food his daughter would make him.  Most days he stopped on the way home to pick up whatever his wife needed from the store.

I will miss you, Mr. Walton.  May the good Lord bless your family during this sad time.

Barbara

We were so sad to hear of Bobs passing.  He was truly a wonderful neighbor and friend.  We lived next door to the Waltons for over 30 years and Vern and Bob were like an extra set of grandparents.  They watched our children grow up.  We will Miss Bob and Verna is in our prayers.  Keith & Cindy Barker

For so many years, Bob came out almost every day to get his Baby Cone. He was given the nickname "Baby Cone Bob" years and years ago by our team, due to his regular order. We always enjoyed seeing him, and loved his playfully grumpy mannerisms. He always kept us on our toes and made us smile. We hope that he finds peaceful rest on his next journey, and we hope there's enough ice cream there waiting for him. We will remember him fondly.

Praying that God will bring peace and comfort hearts during this time.
