Rev. G. Richard Sigg, 88, of Ronks, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom he loved and served all his adult life, on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Coatesville VAMC Hospice Unit. He was the beloved husband of Amelia "Mimi" Martin Sigg with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Evansville, IN, he was the son of the late Georges and Frances Sigg. 

Richard served in the US Navy at the end of WWII. After the war, he graduated with a BBE from Columbia Bible College, South Carolina and served as a missionary in the Belgian Congo, France and with the Mission Home Staff. 

He enjoyed basketball, cycling, outdoor activities, working on his truck and most of all, spending time with his family. 

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two children; Samuel Sigg and wife Michele of New Haven, Conn., Suzanne Combs and husband Mark of Strasburg, PA and five grandchildren; Johan, Emma, Annie, Erik and Catherine. He was preceded in death by one daughter Sara Jane Sigg and two sisters Ann Reed and Eleanor Hiles.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1121 Octorara Trail, Parkesburg, PA 19365. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Coatesville VAMC Hospice & Palliative Care Program, 1400 Black horse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320.

Dear Mimi,

I know this is late, but I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Dick's passing.  He was my varoite uncle.
