R. Glenn Colyer, 89, of East Fallowfield, PA, passed away on May 14, 2023, in Exton, PA.  He was the husband of Kathryn Johnston Colyer for over 66 years.  Born in Embreeville, PA, he was the son of the late John Lively Colyer and Irma Wright Colyer.

Glenn graduated from Scott High School in 1951 and then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He then worked as plant superintendent for IMS formerly Brown Brothers.  He was a member of Towerville Christian Church and Skerrett Masonic Lodge #343.

In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by his children, R. Glenn Colyer Jr. (Pam) of Sarasota, FL, Karen Taylor of East Fallowfield, and Scott Colyer of Lebanon, PA, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and siblings, Joy Cumens (Paul)  of Parkesburg, Donna Mattson of East Fallowfield, and Linda Esbenshade (Dean) of Paradise, PA.  He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Colyer in 2020, and siblings, Evelyn Parker, John Colyer and Virgil (Shirley) Colyer.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Masonic services will be conducted at 10:45 a.m.  Interment to follow at Friendship Methodist Cemetery in Highland Township.

Farewell Brother Glenn. You were one of my mentors and aided me when I served as Worshipful Master of Skerrett Lodge No. 343. Sharron and I have fond memories of you and Kathryn on the dance floor. You two took "Disco Dancing" to another level! May you rest in peace and may all the family find comfort at this difficult time.
