Patricia M. Brown, 91, originally of Christiana walked into Eternal Glory on October 24, 2019 at the Landis Homes Retirement Community in Lititz.  She was the beloved wife of the late Carl A. D. Brown, Jr. of Brown Funeral Home.

Born in Coatesville, Pat was the daughter of the late Nevin K. and Maude Bowermaster McClure.  She resided in Christiana all of her life.  She was a graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville,  class of 1946.  She attended the Lancaster Business College.  And married Carl A. D. Brown, Jr on August 20, 1949 who she assisted in business in the former Brown Funeral Home in Christiana for 30 years.  Most recently, she was a member of Bart Mennonite Church where her son in law, Mick Wolfe, was the pastor.  Previously she was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church of Paradise, where she was a member of the choir.  For the majority of her life, she was a member of Latta Memorial Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and was a member of the choir for 50 years. She also had many Bible Studies at her home throughout the years.  She was a generous and loving person.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Dr. Diane B. Davis, wife of Rev. Randall Davis of Jerome, Idaho, Deborah B. Wolfe, wife of Pastor Michael E. Wolfe of Christiana, PA, and C. Jean B. Wilde, wife of William J. Wilde of Atglen, PA, nine grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sisters, Evelyn M. Swarr of Christiana, Nancy M. Sensenig of Christiana, Sara "Honey" wife of Ernest Sharitz of Shamokin Dam, PA. and sister in law, Flo McClure of San Marcos, Texas. She was preceded in death by her brother, Nevin K. McClure. 

A celebration of life will take place on Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Latta Memorial Presbyterian Church at 23 Green Street, Christiana, PA at 11:00 AM followed by interment at the Bellevue Presbyterian Cemetery in Gap. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing at the church on Monday morning from 10 AM to the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of  Patricia Brown to Landis Homes Benevolent Caring Fund, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543.  We would like to thank the nursing staff at Landis Homes for loving our mom and taking such good care of her.

Dearest Diane, Debbie, Jean, and Families,  “Absent from the body, home with our Jesus”  My heart is heavy, just finding out today about Pat’s home going.     I would have been there, for all of you.   Pat my forever friend, my mentor, a truly Godly example to all.  Her crowns in Glory will be many-Good and Faithful Servant.  When we love someone so deeply like your Mom, they have that part of your heart always.  Now she is truly Home, no more confusion and rejoicing with Carl.  We will be together again someday.  Thanks for sharing her with us girls, Praying for your Strength, Peace, and Comfort,  Love You All,  Ken and Cheryl
