Patricia A. Hannum, 79, of Parkesburg, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.  

 
Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marguerite (Mowery) Devlin.  An area resident her entire life, she was a 1951 graduate of the Parkesburg High School.  
 
Patricia was a member of the Parkesburg Baptist Church.
 
She worked for both Bell Telephone for 35 years and for Longwood Gardens for 15 years as an Operator.  
 
She is survived by her daughter, L. Sandra Cook, wife of Thomas, of Parkesburg; three grandchildren, Candace Decker, wife of Corby, of Parkesburg, Jason Cook, husband of Ashley, of California, Pa and Megan Cook of Parkesburg; five great grandchildren and one sister, Lois M. Devlin of Parkesburg.
 
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Upper Octorara Cemetery of Parkesburg.  The viewing will be held at the Funeral Home on both Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 PM and again on Thursday morning from 10 until 11 AM.  
 
Donations can be made in Patricia's memory to the Parkesburg Baptist Church, 103 West Street, Parkesburg, PA 19365.

To all of Patsy's family.....I was shocked to hear of your loss. I just spoke to Patsy last week and we reminisced about high school and she brought me up to date on all of you. We shared wonderful times when we were in school and she will be greatly missed by all her former classmates and friends. You have my deepest sympathy and I am so sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace.

Lois, Sandy, and family: Truly sorry to hear of Patsy's passing. I'll remember her great sense of humor and her love & concern for her entire family. I was always grateful to her for keeping us informed about the Mowerys. Chuck & I are out of town until Friday, but you'll certainly be in my thoughts & prayers through the week.
