Pamela Louise Young, 75, of Downingtown, passed away on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022 under the care of Brinton Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Glen Mills.  

Born in Coatesville, Pamela was the daughter of the late Thelma Louise (Martin) and James Ronald Detterline.  

She worked at Unisys Corporation as a Circuit Board Assembler and later at St. Martha's Manor as a CNA.  

Pamela was a member of East Brandywine Baptist Church and loved being a part of secret sisters.  

Pamela enjoyed spending time with her friend, Bill.  She liked shopping on QVC, anything Betty Boop and the history of the Battle of Gettysburg.  She enjoyed eating a hot dog and drinking a beer on the 4th of July and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her son David Jones, husband of Julie, of Coatesville; grandchildren, Zachary, Ethan, Haley and Chase; siblings, Anna and Ron; and nieces and nephew, Pamela, Donald, Anna Marie, Elizabeth and Tana.  

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 at 11 AM at East Brandywine Baptist Church, 999 Horseshoe Pike #1335, Downingtown, PA 19335, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.  The viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service.

John and I pray the LORD will grant you peace that passes understanding. I was always happy to see Pam and we knew she was happy to see us. We always picked up our conversation as if no time had passed.
