Duncannon, Pennsylvania

The kind heart of Nancy (Patton, LaMar) Roach, 79, stopped beating on Thursday, January 2, 2020. Known for her ever-present smile and outgoing personality, Nancy was silenced by Alzheimer's Disease.

Nancy was always surrounded by a large group of loyal friends and enjoyed making new ones whether it was in her native Coatesville area or after she relocated to Grantville, PA. Nancy would talk to anyone, anywhere -- like she knew that person her whole life.

Born February 1, 1940 in Romansville, Pa. to Samuel and Ruth (Mulvaney) Patton, Nancy attended Coatesville schools and lived most of her childhood in East Fallowfield Township in Chester County and spent her final years under the care of the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg.

Nancy was married for 15 years to the late Richard Roach. During their marriage Nancy and Dick enjoyed traveling around the country in their motor home.

Nancy was preceded in death by her three siblings; Hazel Sturges, Carol Patton and Richard Patton.

Nancy is survived by her loving children Scott LaMar, husband of Lori, Elizabethtown and Lynn Bubb, wife of Charles Bubb, Duncannon; grandchildren, Jocelin LaMar, partner of Alana, Karli LaMar, Daniel LaMar, husband of Kimberly, and Ryan Bubb, husband of Lisa. Great grandson Larson Bubb was born last May.

Nancy enjoyed her children and grandchildren immensely and consistently served as Scott and Lynn’s biggest cheerleaders in life. ‘Grammy’ loved playing games with Jocelin, Karli, Danny and Ryan and taking them on camping trips to enjoy historical sites around the Country. She will be missed.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Romansville Methodist Cemetery in the village of Romansville. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Condolences

Lynn and Scott, Joe and I are so sad and sorry to learn of your moms passing. Nancy was such a sweet soul and good friend. I worked with her at First Federal for years! We had a big group of friends that her and Dick and all did things together. I hope you are all doing okay. Keeping you in prayers. ❤
