Nancy J. Bernard, 83, of West Caln Township, PA, passed away at her home on Monday, October 30, 2023.  She was the wife of Albert W. Bernard with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.  Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late William B. Sr. and Mary Givler Pratt.

Nancy was an area resident all her life.  She graduated from Coatesville High School and worked as a receptionist at Opera House Dental in Parkesburg, PA.  She was a member of Wagontown Union Chapel in Coatesville.

Nancy was the beloved mother of three children: Alan R. (Lori Cameron) Bernard, Susan Bernard (Donn T. Taylor), and Kevin W. (Ana) Bernard. She has four grandchildren: Erik (Valerie), Amanda (Koby), Emily (Adrian), and Rachel (Ned); and three great-grandchildren: Harrison, Theo, and Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by her brother William B. Pratt, Jr., husband of Judy Gill Pratt.

She loved spending time with her family and would often host family gatherings where she would serve her famous pound cake. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and later, her great grandchildren. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from the Wagontown Union Chapel, 463 W. Kings Hwy, Coatesville, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Cedar Grove Presbyterian Cemetery in East Earl, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Wagontown Union Chapel or American Cancer society.

Dear Bernard family, Nancy was a beautiful person inside and out. She opened her home to our youth group from Wagontown Chapel.  She was always welcoming if you stopped by. I am a better person for have gotten the opportunity to have known her. She was a light for Christ! I pray God comforts all of you! Sincerely, Becky Glick

Albert and Family. I am so sad to just see the passing of a wonderful person! My heart breaks for all of you. She loved her husband, kids and grandkids soo much. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. 💔🙏
