Mildred C. Markward, 95, of Coatesville, passed away at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital on Sunday, August 28, 2022. Born in Unionville, she was the daughter of the late Harry G. Cunningham and Katie Stone Cunningham Bullard. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank (Meta) Markward, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Mildred was a 1945 graduate of Scott Senior High School.

She was the oldest member of Hephzibah Baptist Church.

She is survived by two children, Frank C. Markward of Virginia, husband of the late Karen, and Penny M. Guyer and husband Luke Keiter of Coatesville; four grandchildren, Michael Guyer Jr. and wife Elaine, Kirt Guyer and wife Jessica, Frank Markward Jr., and Mandi Dowdy wife of Robbie; five great-grandchildren, Dalton Guyer, Parker Guyer, Brayden Markward, Colton Dowdy, and Hailey Dowdy.

She is preceded in death by three siblings, Harry G. Cunningham, Alice Johnson, and Elizabeth Miller.

Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com.
