Marsha A. Moyer, 63, of Pomeroy, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. She was the beloved wife of James O. Moyer, Jr. with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Marjorie Rettew Smith.Marsha was an area resident all her life and a 1964 graduate of the Coatesville Area High School.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three children; James O. Moyer, III of Philadelphia, Kimberly, wife of Jeffrey VanDyke of East Fallowfield and Lisa, wife of Tim Mulrooney of Quarryville, four grandchildren; Priscilla Mulrooney, Harry Smith Mulrooney, Joel VanDyke and Chanel Espinosa-Figueroa.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 7:00pm from the Hephzibah Baptist Church, 2237 Strasburg Road, East Fallowfield, PA with visitation from 6:00pm to the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition 2501 Oak Lawn Avenue, Suite 435, Dallas, TX 75219.

I was saddened to hear of Marsha's passing. Not only did we both grow up in Pomeroy, we went all thru grade school and high school together. We spent many hours on the phone growing up and going to dances at the firehall.
