She was employed much of her life as a legal administrative assistant. Previously, she worked for Thompson Wood Real Estate and the former Piper & Marbury law firm. Most recently, Jen was self-employed as a virtual administrative assistant.

She was preceded in death by her father, son John Martin (Mickey) McKernan, sister Leah Rae McCullough, grandparents Onez and Bert Shannon,  and many other Pitts, Shannon, McCullough, and Clark relatives. Jennifer will be dearly missed by us all, but never forgotten.

 Jen loved reading and writing poetry, listening to music, reading fiction, playing the piano, cooking, and making social media friendships. Jen’s family wishes to thank those friends who offered her companionship. Jen found happiness in helping other people during their difficult times and suffering, too.

Condolences

I am so very sorry for your recent loss.  Losing a loved one can be a very difficult time for many families.  I hope the resurrection promise brings you peace and comfort.  At Acts 24:15 we are promised to see our loved ones again.  Won't it be wonderful to see that time come true.  Please accept my sincere condolences.

My heart goes out to your family. Death is something we will never get use to. In fact, God's Word refers to death as an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) Very soon our loving Heavenly Father, will remove death once and for all ( Rev 21:4) and give us the opportunity to see our loved ones again here on the earth. (Acts 24:15)

 If  you would like to learn more from the Bible about why we die or why a loving God allows so much suffering & injustice, please feel free to go to jw.org to find some very satisfying answers.

Jen befriended me on a poetry website we both enjoy. She will be missed! The following is for her...

To the Moon...and Beyond

Midnight has come and gone;

sweet,  wild moonchild's moved on.

Beyond the stars, in Mickey's arms,

beguiling angels with her charms.

Moonbeam's glow shall ever show

her light and love to those left below.

Melodies of her heart's song

echo softly, lingering long.

I am so sorry for your loss.
