James Smith Bullock, 80, of Honey Brook passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 3, 2022. Born in West Grove, he was the son of the late George S. Bullock and Laura Stephens Bullock. He was the beloved husband of Wanda Shindle Bullock with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.  

James was a graduate of Oxford Area Senior High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. He later worked as a fabricator for a company that specialized in manufacturing work trucks.   

He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed “tinkering”, woodworking, and coined the term “Bullock inventions” to describe some of his creations.  

He is survived in addition to his wife, by three children: Charles Bullock of Arkansas, Roger Evans and wife Anneta of St. Charles, Illinois, and Dorothy Evans of Honey Brook. Additionally, he is survived by one sister: Sonya Swinehart of Strasburg. (Grandchildren: Benjamin Evans, Natasha Evans, JR Bullock, Great Grandchildren Zayne Evans, Rosalie Evans)   

He is preceded in death by one sister: Gail Armor.   

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
