James Robert Lohr, 84, of Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the Brandywine Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Helen Turner Lohr with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Doyle A. Lohr and Louise Jane Murray Lohr.
Jim was an area resident all his life and a 1956 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. He was employed for 37 years at the Lukens Steel Company of Coatesville retiring as a research technician. He was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Parkesburg where he served as an elder.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by four children; Kurtis B. Lohr and wife Laura of Coatesville, Kenneth R. Dale of Kutztown and wife Susan, Richard Dale of Coatesville and James Dale and wife Patricia of Downingtown, six grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, four sisters, and two brothers.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 67 Octorara Road, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with visitation from 1:00 PM to the time of the service.

Helen, Kenny, Ricky, Jimmy, Curtis, my heart is so heavy for you all. Br. Lohr was such a special, kind, loving brother . Dad and him were good friends for many of years. Look forward to seeing them both in the new system healthy and happy. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
