Herbert William Anderson, Sr., 68, of Mohnton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at his home. Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Gilbert A. Anderson and Elizabeth Jean Conner Anderson.  

Herb was an area resident all his life and a 1972 graduate of the Octorara High School. He honorably served in the US Army from 1973 to 1975. He was retired from the Luken's Steel Company in Coatesville where he was employed as a welder. 

Recently he attended Bethany Grace Fellowship and was part of their Men's Prayer Group.

He is survived by four children; Tammy Mitchell and husband Kevin of Honey Brook, Herb W, Anderson, Jr. of Ephrata, Shawn R. Anderson and wife Alyson of Gap, and Angelica Anderson of Lancaster, four grandchildren,  Liam, Desmond, Lillian, and Logan, and a lifetime family friend with whom he resided, Danielle Hill and husband Richard of Mohnton and their seven children, William, Steven, Carl, Jennifer, Aiden, Dominic, and Katlynn. He was preceded in death by one sister Agnes Ross and one brother Gilbert "Butch" Anderson, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at Bethany Grace Fellowship, 400 Reading Road, East Earl, PA.,  on Friday evening, September 25, 2020 at 6 PM.  Preceding the Memorial service, the internment is set for Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 11:30 AM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

In order to protect those at-risk, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing while at the church.
