Dorothy Mary Dodds, 93, of Honey Brook, formally of Modena, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Hickory House Nursing Home where she resided for the last six years. She was the wife of the late Earl T. Dodds who died in 2000. Born in Mahanoy City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Richards and Mary C. Gregor Richards.

Dorothy grew up in Mahanoy City and graduated from the Mahanoy City High School. She was employed by Pepperidge Farms in Downingtown, PA as a production line worker. 

She was a member of the Olivet United Methodist Church in Coatesville, PA. 

She is survived by five children; Diane D. Wroten and husband Roger of Wilmington, DE, Donna D. Quinn and husband Martin of Coatesville, Deborah Charlesen and husband Harry of Rheinholds, PA, Earl W. Dodds and wife Denise of Leola, PA and Donald Dodds and wife Linda of Modena, PA, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren; Jessie Lynn Dodds and David Crothers and one brother Warren Richards. 

The family especially wants to thank the staff and nurses at Hickory House Nursing Home for the excellent care they provided and also the nursing staff with Asera Care Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with a viewing from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. 
Interment will follow on Wednesday, May 4th at 11:00 AM at the Skyview Memorial Park, Tamaqua, PA.

I wish to offer my deepest Sympathy on the death of your Mother.  Your Mom was such a kind and gentle person.  She always spoke so kindly to me.  I will always remember her for her quite and loving ways not only for me but for all.  May God Bless her and may she Rest In Peace.
