Thinking of your family.  I waited on Dave and Michelle at Gap Diner as a teenager and college student.  I then met Dave again at Katie's Kitchen when I was eating dinner with my son. I knew he was a special guy just from our brief interactions.  He always talked about his family (that includes the puppers) and he always asked about others.  I wish there wee more Dave's in this world.

To the entire Simmons family -

Dave was a great guy. In my younger years, he was my Sunday School teacher at the Cochranville United Methodist Church. He was funny, smart and genuinely cared about people - especially my parents. As an adult, I would occasionally run into Dave and he would always ask about my parents and brothers and sister. He cared. Dave was also very competitive - especially when playing or watching sports. I too remember when he competed in the Kenny Rogers look-a-like contest and won! He was Cochranville’s local “celebrity”. He will be missed and I’m sorry for your loss.

Our sincere condolences to all of Dave’s family.  Since Dave was a dog lover, we included a picture of our 3 fur babies.  I’ve known Dave my whole life and what a wonderful man he was.  He was like a big brother to me. I attended youth group from Cochranville United Methodist church, where he and Laurene were our leaders…I learned so much from them…which instilled changes in my life for the better.  So our dear friend we’ll say goodbye until we meet again ❤️.  Thinking and praying for your entire family.

So sad to hear of Dave's passing.  Great memories especially while growing up in Cochranville!  Cochranville Methodist Church, Church softball League, "The Ville" Boys playing basketball around Cochranville.  Dave was a great person and was a confidence booster for the youth of Cochranville.  Always smiling when he came into my Dad and Mom's store, Miller's Market.  Loved watching the growth of his children in Cochranville.  Condolences to the entire family!

I had the privilege of bowling in several leagues with Dave. As a lefty, I viewed his approach and release to improve my game. He was very helpful. We met a couple of times for lunch at Katie's Kitchen where he raved about Katie's cheeseburger soup. Great personality and sense of humor. My wife thought he was the closest Kenny Roger's impersonator in the area. May Dave rest in peace, and may God grant his entire family peace, assurance and comfort.
