70 Years

Carol Jean Miller (nee Waddell), 70, of West Caln Township, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 11, 2022. She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Henry C. Miller and son Zachary L. Miller of Historic New Castle, Delaware. Her beloved daughter, Kimberly M. Miller, sadly predeceased her. Carol was the youngest daughter of Raymond Waddell and Dorothy Morgan Robinson, both deceased. Her siblings include Raymond Waddell, Jr. (Butch), deceased, Doris Trace (husband Samuel), E. Elaine Newkirk (husband William) of Berlin, New Jersey, Frederick Waddell (wife Deborah) of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and Phillip Waddell. She also leaves behind extended family including nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, along with many friends that will miss her very much.

Carol was born and raised in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, graduating from Coatesville High School in 1970 after completing training in Cosmetology. She carried out her responsibilities as a wife and mother with love and self-sacrifice. She owned and operated her own business, Scrub-Bee Cleaning Service, becoming a friend to many of her customers. Before her health issues limited her, she enjoyed sewing, needlework and other crafts, was a great party-planner (especially for the kids), enjoyed traveling, was an avid gardener always keeping her property beautifully. She was a friend to the various animals living around her home, the chipmunks are still coming for the peanuts she would hand-feed them, and the many birds she enjoyed watching were well-fed. Her husband Henry shared this skill and love and carries on. Carol was an active member of the Downingtown Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and her faith and hope for the future provided great comfort throughout the many hardships she encountered during her life. Sharing and teaching the Bible was a focus of her life.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Downingtown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 429 Reeceville Road, Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Condolences

I was very sad to hear of Aunt Carol's passing. Uncle Henry was ALWAYS THE FUN UNCLE ! The one who always did fun things with you. He always had a smile on his face. After meeting Carol along with his smile, his eyes became so bright & happy. When you seen them together they both always had a smile & were always so happy to just be together. I knew Carol would become part of our family. She did just that becoming a great aunt to Uncle Henry 's sister's children. Their faith was always a major part of their life. I know that faith will give comfort to Uncle Henry & Zack now through this very sad time. May our thoughts & prayers also give them strength through this awful time, & may it help ALL THE PEOPLE who Aunt Carol touched & those who just couldn't help but LOVE HER & her smile with those bright eyes.
