Alice "Edna" McCoy Steidler, 99, of Coatesville, PA, beloved wife of Frank A. Steidler for 40 years, departed this world on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at her home.  Born in Sneedville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Chloe Wells McCoy.  

She graduated from Hancock County High School of Sneedville, TN.  

She was a former employee of the FBI in Washington, DC, and Lukens Steel Co. of Coatesville, PA, retiring in 1982.  She was also a member of Lukens Veterans Guild, Parkesburg Seniors Citizens, Brandywine Senior Circle, West Caln Historical Society and the East Fallowfield Historical Society. 

She was a long-time member of Wagontown Union Chapel.  Where she served for many years as Financial Secretary, Day Care Board, Member of Sharing and Caring, and she helped prepare dinner for the Brotherhood meetings.  

She loved nature, butterflies, kittens, babies, old folks and everything in between. 

She is survived by two nephews, Kenneth McCoy of Coatesville and Steven E. McCoy and wife Carole of Coatesville, great nephews Brian M McCoy and wife Shelly of Lincoln University, PA,  and Jason Bock of Mass., three great great nephews; Sean and Brandon McCoy, of Lincoln University, PA, and Max Bock of Mass., nieces, Joanne McCoy of Coatesville, Abby Garzia of Coatesville, Patty Smith and husband Gary of Coatesville, Judith Corwin and husband Nick of Ohio, Sheilah Stanley and husband Harry of Kentucky, great nieces, Jillian Persch and husband Greg of Coatesville, Ivy Stanley of Kentucky, and Amanda Bock of Mass., great great nieces; Hailey and Chloe Persch of Coatesville and many friends, cousins and traveling buddies. 
She was preceded in death by three siblings; Fred E. McCoy , Horace E. McCoy, and Juanita E. McCoy, four nephews, David W. McCoy, Fred M McCoy, Michael A. McCoy, and Malcolm W. Thomas. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with Rev. Timothy Crans officiating. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. Interment will follow at the Upper Octorara Cemetery, Parkesburg, PA.

Sending our thoughts and prayers for Edna's family. We knew her and Frank from Wagpntown Chapel bought Christmas trees from them.We will always remember Edna as a kind, sweet and lovely lady.
