On Saturday, October 22, 2022 Kenneth Martin Sokso, beloved husband to Inez L. Sokso, passed away. Ken and Inez married on October 5, 1968 and raised their two sons in Gap, Pennsylvania.

Ken served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1966. He then worked for the security department at Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville, Pennsylvania for 18 years, and Pequea School District in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania for 20 years.

Survived by his two sons, John Joseph Sokso, married to Brenda Geiter, and James Michael Sokso, married to Jillian Sokso, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He also leaves behind one sister, Joan.

Ken is predeceased by four brothers, Richard, Donald, Ronald, and Michael and one sister Barbara, and his parents, George and Elizabeth Sokso of Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

He is remembered for being a fun loving and hard working man. He always had a kind word to say or a little joke to play. Ken is remembered as having an exacting personality and kept himself and his home in perfect condition. Ken was a humble person, not seeking attention for his acts of kindness and his service to others. He was especially dedicated to his fellow Veterans, giving whatever he could whenever he saw a need. Perhaps his favorite was sharing a meal with friends and family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 31st at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W 2nd Ave, Parkesburg, PA 19365, followed by interment in Our Lady of the Dolores Cemetery of Parkesburg.  A viewing will be held at the Church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in remembrance of Ken to the Coatesville VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA 19320.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.  Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com

Aunt Inez,

Jim and I are so sorry for the loss of Uncle Kenny.  He will be missed.  I have such fond memories of him from when I was a child, he was very much the "fun" uncle.  We will keep you in our prayers during this time of mourning.  While it does not end, you learn you will be ok.  I promise.  Your devotion to Kenny was amazing and a wonderful inspiration.

John and Jim, we are sorry for the loss of your father.  Parents are hard to loose, they are your biggest fans.

Love, Jim and Kit

We were part of the family that lived 2 houses down from Kenny and his siblings, during the 50s and 60s.  All the kids loved playing baseball and football in the field across the road--lots of fun times.  I remember that Kenny was the first one to join the Navy, followed by me and my brother Ben (aka Benny).  He was a wonderful person and will be sorely missed by all.  As we say in the Navy, "Here's wishing you fair winds and following seas."

I knew Kenny since I was two years old.. Him and his brother would come down and play on the back porch at my  mom's home.. He was very pleasant.. I was just thinking of him a few weeks ago. I remember him as a Guard at the Melt shop Gate.. My mom's friend would make a special trip and bring him back a cup of coffee.. He was nice.. R.I.P Kenny.
