Ralph Lewis Miller, 75 of Coatesville, PA. passed away on Good Friday April 15, 2022 at the Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was the beloved husband of Deborah Thompson Miller with whom he shared 19 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Howard Miller and Jeanette Crawford Miller.

Ralph was an area resident all his life. He attended Octorara Area High School. He was employed by Lukens Steel Company and later employed by the Mainline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as a bus driver. Ralph loved spending time at home watching his favorite Western “Gunsmoke” Shows. He enjoyed family cookouts, going to the casinos, and loved music and dancing. Family was everything to him, he took on the responsibility to help raise his granddaughter Brooklyn Thompson. During his leisure time he spent talking, laughing, and joking on the phone with Tidy Harris and Barry Thompson. Ralph Miller’s signature was always wearing his favorite hats.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by six children; Ralph "Little Ralph" Miller jr. and wife Ann of Minnesota, Dwayne Miller of Philadelphia, Anthony Miller and wife Cassandra of Lancaster, Eboni Thompson-Klingsporn and husband Mark of Minnesota, Brianda Shockley and husband James of Coatesville and RaShaun Thompson of Chicago IL, He has 27 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He has four siblings; Clyde Miller and wife Cathy of Lancaster, Louise Smith, Sara Sunderland and Amy "Janet" Floyd and husband Willie all of Coatesville. He was preceded in death by six siblings; Howard "Shortie" Crawford, John Miller, Alfred Miller, Sylvester Miller, Alberta Graham and Linwood Howard.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:00AM at Gateway Church, 160 Cowan Rd, Parkesburg, PA 19365 followed by interment at the Mt. Zion AME Cemetery, Atglen, PA. Viewing and visitation at the church from 9:00 AM to the time of the service.
