Blanche E. Young, 83, of East Fallowfield, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. She was the wife of the late Morey T. Young who passed in 2010. Born in Downingtown, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Sara E. Butler Perkins.

 

Blanche worked as an executive secretary for Chemical Leaman Tank Lines for over 30 years, and also for East Fallowfield Township for over 10 years. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and an avid Elvis fan.

She is survived by her sons, Tom (Cheryl) Young of Coatesville and Steve (Debbie) Young of West Grove, granddaughters, Beth (Gregg) Stanley, and April (Jason) Metzger, great-grandchildren, Cole and Shea Stanley, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Warren Perkins Sr. and Charles Perkins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA 19365 with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
