Edward George Elvin, Sr., 79, of Cross Fork, PA, formerly of Mortonville, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 1, 2022. He was the husband of the late Judy Mae Foster Elvin who died in 2014. They shared 54 years of marriage together. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late E. Howard Elvin and Anna Elizabeth Laird Elvin.

Ed was an area resident most of his life and a resident of Cross Fork, PA for the past six years. He was employed for 24 years by the former Embreeville State Hospital as a plumber foreman.

Ed was an avid hunter. He enjoyed watching old westerns, horse racing and the mountains and his mountain home but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by three children; Rhonda Lynn Supplee, wife of Chris, of Romansville, Deborah Jean Davis, wife of Glenn, of Coatesville and Edward G. Elvin, Jr. with whom he lived with, of Cross Fork, PA, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren (and one on the way) and one brother Richard Elvin of Coatesville.  Ed was preceded in death by a daughter in law Vicki Elvin.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the visitation from 9:00 AM to the time of the service. Interment will follow at the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery in East Fallowfield, PA.

In order to protect those at risk, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing while at the funeral home.

Dear Rhonda, Chris, Timmy, Katie and Family,

We are very sad that your Dad and Grandpa has passed away. Ed was such a sweet and wonderful man. He was always so kind to everyone with such a happy spirit. We know Ed is dancing with your Mom/Grandma right now. Their love is everlasting. Jesus will continue to take care of them.
