Jerry V. Moore, Sr., of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, December 24th under the care of Sunrise Senior Living of Exton.  He was the widow of the late Donna (Urbine) Moore, who passed away in 2014 after they had shared 46 years of marriage.

Born in Meadowview, Virginia, Jerry was the son of Voy Mae Babetski of Downingtown and the late Raymond Moore.  Jerry attended Scott High School and would later complete his GED while in the Air Force.  Jerry served in the Air Force from 1962 to 1966 as an airplane mechanic, a skill he transitioned into civilian life, working for Chester County Airport, several companies based at Philadelphia International Airport & Journal-Register in Trenton, NJ until retiring in 2010.

Jerry could do anything he put his mind to, including caning chairs, restoring and rebuilding engines, carving wood ducks, making rings out of coins, and woodworking cutting boards, trivets, and "good stuff" boxes.  He liked attending auctions and sales, attending Rough & Tumble in Kinzers, gardening, and listening to classic country and bluegrass music.  Jerry enjoyed breakfast food, biscuits and gravy, beans, cornbread, and Snickers candy bars.  He also enjoyed the company of his cat, "Tiki".

He is survived by his three children: Beth A. Miller of Atglen, Jerry V. Moore, Jr. (Michelle) of Kinzers and Suzanne L. Moore, (Rob), of Coatesville; five grandchildren, Randy, Bobby, Laura, Jaiden, and Jeremy; and five great-grandchildren, Benny, Abby, Jax, Roe, and Waylon (due December, 2021); siblings, Katie Thomas (Glenn), Bob Moore (Jan), Jane Maxwell (Tom), Gene Babetski (Suzanne), Nick Babetski, and Frank Babetski (Renee).

To Jerry's  Family:      Jerry was my nephew, whom I loved like a brother.    He was a gentleman; so courteous and so talented,  and he loved his family.      My prayer is that you'll follow his footsteps and character and know that he's in a much better place.  He's out of his suffering now and we can all see him again one Glorious Day in Heaven  !    He's now with Donna and Other Family and I know he's rejoicing with them.  He's had a long hard battle.   Lets all remember the good times !      Much Love to All,  Barb
