Donald R. "Ducky" Daller, 87, formerly of Wagontown, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in West Chester.  He was the husband of the late Judith M. Wenger Daller who passed in 2004.  Born in Parkesburg, he was the son of the late George C. and Jane Marie Cahill Daller.

Ducky worked for years for the Borough of Parkesburg in labor and maintenance.  He and his crew had the streets of Parkesburg in top shape.

He enjoyed roller skating and played hockey for the Berwyn Blackhawks.  He loved trains, airplanes, hunting, and fishing. He loved Parkesburg and telling stories about it. As a teen he won the soapbox derby back to back.

He is survived by a son, Donald J. (Tricia) Daller of Sadsburyville and two grandchildren, Diane E. Daller and Donald Joseph Daller, and a sister, Dorothy Farrell of Strasburg.  He was preceded in death by a son, David, and a brother George.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Wagontown Union Chapel, 469 W. Kings Highway, Coatesville, PA, 19320.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.

So sorry to hear of Duckeys passing.. He and Rod Engle sure knew how to plow our streets in the snow.

My Condolences on the loss of Mr. Daller. I remember him well taking care of the Borough streets. We could use him again. He always did such a good job with such pride in his workl. I enjoyed talking with him and listening to his stories.

"Ducky" was such a nice guy and had a laugh you could hear from far away.  He was one of a team of good guys who kept Parkesburg's streets in tip top shape.  Rod, Bill and Ducky were the best.  Duck could really tell the stories and make you laugh..... Gone but not forgotten.  RIP Don

The best snowplow man the borough ever had. He would take it right into your yard, taking about a 6" sliver of turf with it. The streets were passable and not just one lane. My father thought the world of him. Rest in peace!
