Ralph Daryl Cooper, 72, of Parkesburg, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 4th, 2021, surrounded by his family.  He was the beloved husband of Ann Cooper, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, Ralph was the son of the late Mary Wawrenuk - Cooper Spealman and Ralph F. Cooper.
An area resident his entire life, Ralph was a graduate of Scott High School.  He served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War, serving in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970.

Before retiring in 1993, Ralph worked as a police officer at Valley Township Police Dept., Coatesville Police Dept., South Coatesville Police Dept., and Sadsbury Police Dept.  He also worked at the Public Utility Commission.

Ralph enjoyed collecting antiques, especially marbles and bottles.  He enjoyed gardening, traveling (especially to Atlantic City), fishing anywhere he could, and watching Star Trek.  He loved his dogs Foxy and Kelly and his parrot Harley.  But most of all, he loved his family, who he would spoil every chance he had.

Condolences

I've been a part of Daryl's family since 1997, 24 years. In that time Myself and Daryl's daughter, Stephanie gave Daryl 3 awesome grandchildren, Cierra, Shayne, and Ashlee Cooper. Daryl and I have many, many memories, some good, some bad.
But all the good memories are the ones that I will remember, like going to older towns and cities and digging up the old outhouses. Looking for old valuable antique bottles, gun, medicine bottles, antique toys. Really anything that came out of the ground, me not caring what it was, Daryl always knew, he taught me alot about the artifacts we found. Great history lessons.
I remember one night Daryl and I went out. He told his daughter Stephanie we were going to the Moose to shoot pool. But little did I know, we hit just about every Gentlemen's Clubs from Coatesville to Philly. Boy was Steph mad when we got home at 5 am the next morning, all Daryl could do was laugh. Plenty more memories that I'll never forget.
Daryl you were a good father and Grandfather. You were always there for the kids, THANK YOU. And with great sadness in my heart, I'd like to send my deepest condolences to the Cooper Family. I always thought, Daryl was so STUBBORN and HARD HEADED, there was no way he was gonna give up on his life. Daryl was going to live forever. He didn't give up, he fought to the very end. But as everyone knows CANCER does what it wants, and this time it took Daryl and never looked back. It was and always will be an honor to say Daryl Cooper, he's one hell of a man, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
So,so sorry to the Cooper Family.
Daryl will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing, Daryl Ralph Cooper. FLY HIGH, NO MORE SUFFERING. I'm sure he's in Heaven right now with Ryan, looking down watch over the family.
See you again one day. Oh and Daryl, if you see my mom Linda Fisher up there, tell her I LOVE HER AND MISS HER.

Rollen I'm still salty about that "trip" lol, just kidden. Thanks for the kind words. Our kids have a wonderful grandfather who will be missed tremendously. Also, I'm sure your mama is already with dad! Guarantee you him and Ryan already have her in some types of trouble!

Stephanie, I believe it. He's probably got my Mom and Ryan sitting in some Heavenly Gentlemen's Club having some drinks and reminiscing.

To the entire Cooper family I am so sorry to hear of Daryl's passing.  Even though we are family we had lost touch over the years as sometimes happens in life.  He was a real gem of a guy and had a great love for his family.  Sending you all love with sorrow.  Lydia and Earl and Aunt Viola Cooper.

I know I haven't seen you in a while, really enjoyed working with you in Coatesville Police Department and seeing you in all those other Departments.  Hope you stayed as crazy as you were since last time I saw you. For family words are sometimes just not enough, just knowing that people care really helps
