74 Years
Coatesville

Ronald "Pops" Heald of Coatesville, PA peacefully entered God's Kingdom while at home and surrounded by his family.  Born on September 3, 1946 Pops was 74 when he died on May 10, 2021.
He was the husband and soulmate of Susan (Acker) Heald for 50 years! Loving their family and life together always.  Pops was an Army Veteran, worked at Luken's Steel Mill for many years and retired from Reynolds Metals in Downingtown, PA.
He was the fun-loving dad to Heather (Troy), Losey, Darth (Angelina) and Brandon (Christina).
A one - of - a - kind grandfather to Troy, Jr (girlfriend Cory O'Neal), Trent (Cinthia), Rachel (TC), Arianna and Brandon, Jr., and great grandfather to TJ, Chase, Emi, Remi, Mason, soon Luca ("Little Lu') Lawrence.
He was predeceased by his mother Norma (Heald) Rousseau, step father George and his Father Joseph Heald.
Pops was and always has been such a HUGE Philadelphia Eagles fan. (and Phillie's fan and sometimes a Flyers fan)  Rarely would you ever see him without some type of Eagles attire on!  The tradition of mom's homemade meatball sandwiches for the first game of the season was started and very much looked forward to with Pops.  He said he was so happy he actually got to see them win the Superbowl before he died. (we all feel the same way Pops.) And Darth says "Go Giants"
Being a big family of sports, Pops became a permanent figure on softball fields coaching for The West Fallowfield League, Oxford League, & Strasburg Fall League. He was with family for 18 championship titles!
Pops is forever with us... our warrior of life.
FLY EAGLES FLY!

The family would like to thank all of the medical teams at BH, the short-procedure doctors & nurses, the South-eastern Home care nurses, the nurses and staff of Willow Tree Hospice, and Dr. Ronald Swaab and all the wonderful nurses there that came to love pops.
Also a special thank you to  Bill Losey for being there in ways as a brother-in-Christ and family member.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 on the Softball field of  West Fallowfield Christian School, 795 Fallowfield Road, Atglen, PA 19310.
