Condolences

So sorry to read of the loss of another cousin.  My dad was so very appreciative of Rich's visits when he lived at Garden Spot Village.  Rich even took him to a Barnstormers game, which dad loved!  I'm comforted to know he is now with Jesus and reunited with his parents and sister.

May the Lord be with Dick's niece, nephew and families, with your loss.  I picture Dick dancing with Jesus in heaven.  It was a privilage to have shared part of Dick's life.  Prayers from Mel and Shirley Weaver, Worship Center friends.

Growing up just across Second Avenue from each other, Rich is among my oldest friends and fondest memories. We also shared many meals and an occasional sip together before and after graduation from Lincoln University. He reforomed. I didn't and we lost contact meeting only briefly at the now famous Parkesburg High School reunions. It was always a pleasure to see Rich and recall growing up together. What memories.

I met Dick almost 20 years ago in membership class at Worship Center & saw him regularly as he ushered or at Prime Time. More recently I would see him at Saturday night worship. He was a neighbor and good friend of Shirley, also a friend of mine.  I give thanks for his life, & especially his new life in heaven with Jesus. May God comfort you with His peace, love and the hope we have through Jesus.

Cindy, sending condolences to you. It is hard when the last of one generation leaves this earth. But keep the hope that one day, you will all be reunited in Heaven. Sending love

A man of many names, Rich, Dick, Chang (for his mastery of the Chinese language) & Kiner (for his baseball prowess).  I believe I first me Rich at the Fire House "game room" where we went on to spend many hours shooting pool with a host of Parkesburg characters you might expect to find in a pool hall...great guys all!!  Also had many good Monday evenings bowling in Jack Canan's league at the Strasburg Bowling alley.  Sometimes in more elevated pursuits we played chess.  He was a great guy and a good friend.
