George Andrew Simon, 86, of Coatesville, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Brandywine Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jane E. Esworthy Simon who died in 2013. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late George J. Simon and Elizabeth Nagy Simon. 

George was an area resident all his life and a 1952 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served from 1952 to 1956. George was employed by Mack Oil retiring in 1999. He faithfully attended St. Peters Catholic Church of Coatesville. 

He enjoyed spending time with his family and dog Jessie. He also enjoyed trips to the beach along with gardening.

He is survived by three daughters; Beth Arnold and husband Miles III of Honey Brook, Alice Stauffer of Coatesville and Kathy Wilmont and husband Randy of Modena, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister Mary Simon of Malvern. He was preceded in death by two sons; Andrew Simon and Mark Simon. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Saint Peter Catholic Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine, PA 19320 followed by burial at the Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, PA. Visitation and viewing will be held at the Church from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. 

In order to protect those at-risk, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing while at the Church.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Our prayers are going out to you and the family and for Jessie.  I'll always remember what a hard worker he was taking care of the yard work and seeing him out walking the Pups.  May God bless his soul.
