Lynn Diane Mattson, 72, of Coatesville, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at the Reading Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Arnold C. Mattson, Jr. with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Murray and Ida Jane Franciscus Murray.

Lynn was an area resident all her life and a 1966 graduate of the former H. Scott High School in Coatesville. She was employed by Burroughs for many years as an electrical board technician.

She attended the Nottingham Missionary Baptist Church and was formerly an active member of the Wyebrook Missionary Baptist Church where she was a leader in the youth program Awana.  Lynn was a big part of the bus ministry that transported area youth to church.

She liked to go to amusement parks especially Knoebels to spoil the grandchildren. She always had a giving heart putting others ahead of herself no matter if you were family or not.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by two sons; John Mattson and wife Frances of Coatesville and Stephen Mattson and wife Terri of Gap, PA, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and four siblings; Alfred Murray and wife Bonnie of Downingtown, Marjorie wife of George Douglas of Weatherford, Texas, Karen Murray Wilkenson of Coatesville and JoAnn Russum of Coatesville. She was preceded in death by one brother William Murray.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020, at 11:00 AM at the Wyebrook Missionary Baptist Church, 62 New Rd, Elverson, PA 19520. Lynn worked for me at Invisible and later when I ran Perimeter Technologies. Lynn was a fantastic person. She always had a positive spirit. She hardly ever complained and just did her job the best she could. I always appreciated Lynn and her contribution. She will be missed by me and those who worked with her.

I was so sorry to hear about Lynn's passing.   I was fortunate to have known her when she worked at Perimeter - she was so welcoming and friendly when I first started there in 2016.    Really made me feel as though I was a part of everything.    My thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family and friends.
