Eleanor Welsh, 86, of Coatesville, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Paoli Memorial Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Donald Hatfield Welsh who died in 2017.  Born in West Chester she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ethel Butler Hendrickson.

An area resident most of her life she worked at Sonoco paper Products in Downingtown, Jamesway and Moore's Pharmacy in Thorndale, the Thorndale A&P, and owned Welsh's First Ave. Deli in Parkesburg.  She belonged to the Chester County Car Club.

She is survived by her children; Don R. (Lisa) and Randy (Patricia) both of Parkesburg, Mark (Diane Ray) Welsh of Lancaster, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and brothers, Carl Jr. of West Chester, PA and Robert Hendrickson of Paradise Valley, AZ.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Marie Welsh Cellini, a great-grandson, Hunter, and a sister, Doris Whitely Hendrickson.

Graveside interment services will be held for Eleanor and her husband, Donald, on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery, 1235 Birmingham Rd., West Chester, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

I knew Eleanor the biggest part of my life. Her husband was an old friend of my father,Fred Thompson and his family. She was very nice and also a great help to our family when she worked at Moore's pharmacy. Sorry about her passing. Mary D Elvin (Skeet)
