Dear Carpenter family,
I was requested by Bugles Across America to sound TAPS at the funeral of your beloved family member and Coast Guard veteran.
Unfortunately, all the information I had listed the date as 6/06/202 at 11 am. I confirmed this with the funeral home on Wednesday.
The Coast Guard information was for the same date and time.
I showed up on the 6/06/2020 at 10:15 am only to learn that the funeral had been on the 5th of June.
I guess these things can happen, but I am so terribly sorry that I was unable to sound TAPS for Frank.
If there were no honors of any kind because of the mistake, I would like to offer to sound TAPS at a later date of your choosing at the site to give a proper honor.
Sincerely,
Martin Holahan

Martin - We appreciate your offer to play for us at another date. However, honors took place at the gravesite to a recording of TAPS.  It was still a very touching service.  Thank you for your concern.  The Carpenter Family
