Janet B. Jones, 89, a longtime resident of Parkesburg, passed away on April 28, 2020, at her daughter Victoria Simmons home, in Trussville, Ala. She was the wife of the late James G. Jones.

She was born in Gum Tree, PA on June 23, 1930, a daughter of the late Walter Sr. and Edna Daller of Parkesburg.

She was a graduate of the Parkesburg High School. Janet loved her family and Parkesburg. Her favorite pastime was sitting on her front porch and talking with her neighbors.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Helen Taylor, Betty Decker, Shirley Poff and Connie Mullen, all of Parkesburg.

She is survived by her daughter Victoria Simmons and husband Bill, of Ala., granddaughter Faith Barker and husband Steve, of Owensboro, Ky., grandson Billy Simmons of Costa Rica and her beloved great-grandchildren, Bailey, Brooke and Beau Barker of Ky., and her loving brother Walter Daller Jr. and his wife Ruthann, of Collegeville.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Janet was loved and will be truly missed by all.

Vicky and family,

I'm saddened to hear of Janet's passing. I will truly miss her. She has been a special friend to me over for so many years. We always had nice conversations about just about anything. She always cared about me and loved talking to my children. I will keep all of you in my prayers during this difficult time.

Vicky I was so sorry to see your Mom had passed. I always enjoyed talking to her when we ran into each other in town. She always had the best laugh. My Mom was upset too they were just a year apart growing up. We both send our Love and Prayers.

So sorry to learn of Janet's passing.  She was a member of our graduating class  of Parkesburg High School  Class of 1948.  She was always very outgoing and liked by our class msmbers..  She joins my wife Mitzi who was called home by her Lord April 24, 2020.
