81 Years
Kemblesville, Pennsylvania

Phillip H. Eastburn was born June 13, 1938 in Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, DE to Harrison W. Eastburn and Gertrude J. Eastburn (Sampson).  He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara of 40 years who died in 2002.  He is survived by his son, Jeffrey and his wife, Cindi of Landenberg, Pennsylvania.

Jeff & Cindi would like to pay special tribute to Phil’s devoted companion Karen MacCord whose love and support for their father has been tremendous and will always be remembered. Jeff and Cindi would also like to express their appreciation and love to their English family from across the pond, Pauline, Eddie & Claire.  Their unwavering love and support for Phil, Jeff & Cindi will never be forgotten.

Mr. Eastburn was the IT Manager for the Budd Company in Philadelphia and retired in 2000 after 40 years of service.  He was a member of New London Masonic Lodge #545.

His hobbies included the restoration of an 18th century house in Kemblesville, PA where he resided with his family since 1975, after growing up in Stanton, DE and residing in the Newark area for 13 years. Horses, owning, showing and horse racing were a favorite pastime of Mr. Eastburn.  He owned several pleasure horses over the years and enjoyed horse racing at Delaware Park.  He supported the University of Pennsylvania New Bolton Center and a contributor of the Old Friends retirement center for Thoroughbred horses, in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Fords were of special interest, especially Thunderbirds and muscle cars.

The family kindly requests donations be made in memory of Phil to the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine, and directed to the “Barbaro Fund for Excellence”: mailing address: Office of Development & Alumni Relations, University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, 3800 Spruce Street, Suite 172E, Philadelphia, PA 19104.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg, PA.  Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com

I am sending my condolences to Phil's family. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Phil for more than 36 years. We both worked at the Budd Company in the IT department. Phil was in PA and I was in our corporate IT office in Michigan.. but we're on the phone daily working together on many projects. I enjoyed our long talks and learned a lot from Phil. We stayed connected in his retirementand and it was alway a pleasure to hear his deep voice... he will be missed.

My prayers are with Phil's family .
