Skip was a rare individual, in that I never heard him complain about anything--not even when he received a fatal health diagnosis and suffered through his final illness. He always had a bright smile and a great story to share. It was a blessing to have known him, and I will long remember his positive outlook and bright spirit. He will be missed at St. John's Church.

Dear Hoskins family - my family and I were so sorry to hear of the passing of Skip.  Our sincerest condolences are with all of you at this difficult time.  Skip was a wonderful friend and neighbor.  Skip has been  a part of my life in each of the last 3 decades of my life - since my teenage years.  We loved paying him visits.  I will always fondly remember either sitting on his front porch (with Erla) or in  his living room listening to his stories about the way things used to be in our neighborhood.  He was such a bright, funny, and industrious man - a true inspiration.  He always had a kind word for everyone.  I'm so glad that my son Tristan also had the opportunity to meet him and that Skip was able to go out for ice cream with us on a couple of occassions.  I  know too, that my father loved going to the senior center with Skip, and has  long  since missed those times.  And my mother and father loved meeting Skip on his morning walks around the reservoir in years past.  He had a true zest and enthusiasm for life and was such a positive person to be around.  He will be missed.  Again, our thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with you in this difficult time.  May your wonderful memories of Skip help see you through your loss.

As Skips caregiver it was my joy to spend time caring for him. I loved how he was such a character (Vicki you know what I mean) and I loved that he shared how that property and the subsequent house became the family home. Many times we had a good chuckle. I know your Dad is at peace with your Mom, and that they are both watching over all of you. May God give you peace and rest always, and surround you in his grace, mercy, and love. God bless, Teresa
