Thomas C. Bicking, 59, of Gum Tree Rd., Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Eileen Bicking, with whom he shared 37 years of friendship and marriage.

Born on October 18, 1949 at the former Coatesville Hospital, Thomas was the son of Miriam Herr Bicking and the late Walter J. Bicking. A resident of Gum Tree his entire life, Thomas was a 1967 graduate of the Octorara High School. He served honorably for the US Navy on the USS New Jersey. He was most recently employed at Jenkins and McMahon Supply Inc. of Toughkenamon, PA.

He is survived, in addition to his wife and mother, by three siblings: Audrey Brown, wife of Jeremy of Gap, Walter Bicking, husband of Linda of Gap, and David Bicking, husband of Kim of Gap, as well as his cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday evening, May 28, 2009 at 7:30 at the Friendship United Methodist Church, 123 E. Friendship Rd. Coatesville, Pa. 19320. The visitation will be held from 6 until 7:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Thomas may be made to the Neighborhood Hospice Center, 400 E. Marshall, West Chester, PA 19380.

To the family of Tom Bicking I extend my sympathy. may the lord give you comfort during this time. I knew Tom as I took piano lessions from his mother. We rode the school bus and on Tuesdays I would get of at his house and play until it was time for my lession. Regards Terry Finigan Class 65 Octorara.

Our sympathy goes out to Eileen and the rest of the Bicking family. I knew Tommy all my life as we went to Friendship Methodist Church and graduated Octorara High School together. He was a great guy and a good friend. He will truly be missed.

TOM WILL CERTAINLY BE MISSED BY ALL AS WELL AS ALL THAT KNEW HIM. I KNOW THAT MY DEAR SISTER, EILEEN BICKING, WILL MISS HIM, TOO. I went to school with Tom at Octorara. We played in the band together. When high school memories come to me, he is sometimes in them. Memories from so many years ago are still with me. May you find some condolance in knowing that he was loved by so many so long ago.
