Mark followed his best friend and brother, Anthony Nicholas “Nick” Sloan, who was also his earthly hero and confidant, to Heaven.  In addition, Mark joins his step-brother, Joshua Robert Lynch, his maternal grandfather, Ronald Hilton, and his maternal uncle, Dwight “Van” Cornett in Heaven.

In addition to his parents, Mark leaves behind his love, Kelly Smith and their children, Jameson Anthony Mellinger, Declan Nicholas Mellinger, and Lyndsey Smith, his maternal grandmother, Mary Hilton, his paternal grandparents, Gary and Maxine Mellinger, his niece, Marlie Rae Sloan, his step-siblings Jere Wilson and Jaime Neff, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, who will miss him dearly.

Mark was an exceptionally skilled and talented barber, but most of all a wonderful father who loved and adored his children dearly. Mark was a jokester, as well as, the life of the party, however, at the end of the day, he was a mommy's boy at heart.  Mark will continue to live through the countless fond memories we have of him and through the many lives he touched in the short time we were blessed to have him.
