George was a very special man.  Our family was very fond of him, and he would always say to us "God sure has blessed you with 3 Boys".  He will be missed by so many.  His family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  RIP George.

Sorry for your loss, George was a spectacular man. We didn't know him very well except for Chick a Fila visits in which he would always strike up a conversation with us. It got to the point we weren't sure if we were going there for food or for George. No matter how tough of a day or how dull ordinary day of just entertaining kids I found his conversation to be so helpful. He became like extended family for us to visit. He would bits about his life and asked about our day but mostly his company kindness and smile that just made a mark on our hearts. He was a treasure to the whole community of which impacted many and wish his family to have the same amount of support that he shared with many in his daily work. Thank you George for being a shining example of what is good in our community.

George was a great man. When I would ride the Sunday school bus in Downingtown he would always make the best out of the ride. I remember him and others on the bus to make a better if I could hold a 50lb weight I would get a free personal pan Pizza from Pizza Hut and I did it. We always had fun times on the bus. Whenever myself or my family would come to chick fil a for lunch or dinner we always talked about the good old days and the best of days to come. He always had a smile on his face for anyone else who walked through those doors. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

To the family of George Holston, I wish to send my sincere condolence.  I first met George in 4th grade and found him to be the friendly, happy, helpful person everyone met on that day and  throughout his life.  We graduated together from B. Reed Henderson High School and I didn't run into him again until my daughter was working at Chester County Hospital and told me about this wonderful spirited gentleman she met who also worked there.  One can only wish that there were more folks like George in the world...displaying the love of God wherever he went.

We are so sorry to hear of the homegoing of George. He was a special godly man and he will be missed. We met George and Dorothy many years ago at the Church of Goshenville. We have many great memories of the good old days. I recently shared with someone about leg wrestling with George on our living room floor and when she shared the story with George; all he did was laugh. George was a great godly example to everyone; he shared his love for Jesus with everyday. We are praying for Dorothy and his children. May the memories you have make each day better. Remember one day, you will be reunited with George in heaven; he only went ahead to prepare your new home for you with his Jesus.  Sending lots of love and hugs.

God gives different gifts to our world through the lives of others. In George, He gave us an example of kindness and compassion. As youth director at The Church of Goshenville, I

enjoyed the likes of Dorothy, her sister Mary, and later George. They were always good to be with. Everytime my wife and I visited Chick-fil-A, we were proud to know George.

Despite his own difficulties, the love of the Lord shone through, and his concern was  for your comfort and enjoyment in his 'home" away from home. Chick-fil-A has a good

record of hiring nice friendly people, now they have lost one of the best. Both my wife Anne and I look forward to seeing George again. God is great !

My deepest sympathy to the family of George Holston. I was so saddened by the news of George's passing as I entered the Chick- Fil-A in Downingtown last Monday.  I had just seen him the Monday before and he was telling me about his recent bout of illness.  He was excited to be back at work and enjoying all the customers that he would greet that day.  There are few people like George and he left his mark on my life, as well as my children, who came to know him as a high school friend of mom's.  He was caring and kind and compassionate.  He always had a smile that was infectious and could brighten anyones day even if he wasn't feeling his best.  I will miss seeing, hearing him and reminiscing with him.

 With Heartfelt Prayers and Sympathy.

Our deepest sympathy to the family.  George was an awesome human being.  He was what made Chickfila in D'town.  My husband and I usually only went in on Saturdays and we always scanned the place to see if George was there.  George was so warm and friendly and always seemed to bring out a smile in everyone.  He loved talking about his family and the Philadelphia sport teams.  My husband knew George from when they both had worked at Ches. Co. Hospital long ago.....And, Geoge and my husband would "egg" each other constantly!  George was definitely a special person (so warm, funny, genune) and there wil never be anyone that can replace the man that he was.

Downingtown Chickfila will flurish but there will always be a big VOID in the dining room!

Rest in peace, George ...till we meet again!

I've known George all my life.  We graduated the same year, Henderson, '71.  We had 10th grade English together, taught by Peter Petropolus.  But George's choice for reading had nothing to do with English class.  He carried the sports page everywhere, everyday.  This landed him in hot water sometimes, but thats who he was.  He loved sports.   And he would rib you about it too.  In the summer of 1980, a group of us went down to the vet to see the Phillies.  When I told him my favorite player was Bob Boone, George said "Bob Boone?  He's a bum!"  So we would go back and forth, and end up laughing about the whole thing.  Our Dad's were friends too.  About 5 or 6 years ago, my brother Mike called me and said George was working at Chick-Fil-A, and wanted me to come down and see him, which I did numerous times.  I learned of his passing on facebook and read all the tributes.  It's hard to fathom how many smiles he brought to people's faces, but George loved people, and people loved George.  Goodbye old friend.  You will forever be missed.

After hearing of George's passing yesterday, I'm sending our sympathies to his family.  I was too young to remember him from Goshenville, but was fortunate to get to know him from our frequent visits to Chick Fil A.  He was a joy to talk to and his love of people was evident, as well as his faith in God.  I pray knowing how many peoples' lives he touched helps comfort you in the days and months ahead.
