Evelyn J. Parker, 86, formerly of Malvern, passed away on Tuesday, May 17th at Dallastown Nursing Center.  She was the beloved wife of Fred Parker with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.  

Born in Embreville, Pa., Evelyn was the daughter of the late Irma (Wright) and John L. Colyer.  She was a 1948 graduate of Scott High School and a 1951 graduate of Chester Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked at the VA Hospital as a Registered Nurse.  

She belonged to Living Word Community Church, York PA.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three children: Cheryl Mack, wife of Richard, of Downingtown, Joan Rementer, wife of Edward, of West Chester, and Carol Naugle, wife of Paul, of Dallastown; six grandchildren, Bryan and Rachael Rementer, Parker, Cooper, Elijah and Eliana Naugle; and five siblings, John Colyer, Glen Colyer, Joy Cummens, Donna Mattson, and Linda Espenshade.  She was predeceased by one brother, Virgil Colyer. 

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery of East Fallowfield.  The viewing will be from 10 until 11 AM.
