Eleanor S. Young, 87, of West Brandywine Twp., passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 7th, 2015 at the Brandywine Hospital.  She was the widow of the late John A. Young.

Born in Greensburg, Pa., Eleanor was the daughter of the late Helen and Herman E. Tapper.  She was a member of the Hibernia U.M. Church.

Eleanor is survived by her two daughters: Linda S. Wike and Donna L. Young, both of West Brandywine; grandchildren, John Michael Archer of Downingtown, Aimee Lynn DiMattei of Thorndale and Terry Young of Cheltenham; seven great grandchildren; six siblings, James, Paul, Robert and Donald Tapper, Mona Lee Riddle and Carol Dwyer.  

She was predeceased by siblings Junior Tapper, Jack Tapper, Doris George and Norma Charmley.  

The memorial service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 6 PM at the Parkesburg United Methodist Church, 411 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA 19365 followed by a meal in the social hall of the Church.  Visitation from 5 until 6 PM.

Sending my love to her family. Eleanor was such a beautiful person and it was always a joy to be in her company. She will be sorely missed. God Bless you Eleanor, thanks for being my "other Mother" so often.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss....your mother was a sweet caring woman....we will hold a lot of fond memories we have of her deep in our hearts....remember she may be gone in body but her spirit will still be forever by your side.
