I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is tough losing a loved one. I would like to give you some words of encouragement that helped me cope. A lot of people have been told things by others all their life and they believe what they are told just because they want to believe it and it sounds wonderful. What I would like to tell you though is not my opinion or my thoughts but God’s thoughts from the Bible, so please look at your Bible and see the truth. God promises that we will live again but it is not like what most people think. Please look at Revelation chapter 21 and verses 3 & 4 very closely. If you notice here it talks about death and pain being no more now ask yourself is there pain and death in Heaven? That scripture is talking about right here on Earth a kingdom that will be set up and ruled by Jesus that will rid mankind of death and pain, please look at Daniel 2 verse 44 and see that this is a real kingdom. Dear Family:  You are in our thoughts--we pray for your comfort and strength at this time.  "Davie Brown" was special to many, especially those of us who have known him since he was a little boy (quiet mannered) growing up in P'burg.  So many of us spent hours at your family home and remember him as:  "Davie-Doc-Boone".  Later years as he became a young man, I noticed he had a walk ("swag") of his own.  I told him once that he and Denzel Washington "owned their walk".....(Davie gave that shy smile, of course).  We know for sure he will be missed, but will always be remembered.  He is at peace now....no more pain.   Love to all of you.

Bonnie (Harris)-Dickinson

Sorry to hear for the Loss of Dave, He was always willing to talk to you when he would see ya, small talk. Dave painted our house and it was good to chat with him. The neat wave he would always have when he would see ya in town. I  was a Parkesburg residence for years. Dave will always be remembered in Parkesburg as the cool guy and would give you the time of the day. Will be missed by all.

Dear family, May Davey fly to Jesus, while God wraps his loving arms around all of you. Davey was a great neighbor, used to buy corn on the cob from us, and come back for more! I made sure I got some from my parents, just to make him smile! Parkesburg will never be the same, Heaven gained another angel...... RIP, Davey....

To the family -  When I saw the photo that you posted, my first thought is that this must be "Buzz" Brown's brother.  What a wonderful family you have.

May fond memories be with you. My mom was a bus driver many years ago.

We all grew up together, went to  school together, played basketball at Minch Park together, hung out together, laughed together and became young men together. Our parents and even our grandparents were connected with the family, and such is the legacy of growing up in Parkesburg.

Davey was kind, funny, thoughtful, a smooth dresser,  a great dancer and need I say a “cool and a down brother.” His friendly and even tempered personality and easy going nature were deeply appreciated by us "younger boys" back then when we were growing up and he will be sorely missed.

It is with sadness, and fondness that I reflect upon many memories of growing up with Davey aka Runner aka Rags and my historical connections with other members of his family in Parkesburg

May he rest in peace and may his family find comfort during this difficult time.

Respectfully Submitted

Richard M. Cooper

My prayers go out to the entire Brown Family.  Davey was thee most best dressed man in Parkesburg.  Always was matching from head to toe everyday!  His nickname was totally opposite of his daily appearance. I always thought he looked so much like Snoop Dog.  He had a "SWAG" about himself that came with his soft spoken and respect he had for people. He will be missed by all of us. RIP "Raggs". Now that you're reunited with all your loved ones and feeling no more pain that's a comforting thought for all of us.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  My friend and I would see him in town and yell out "What's happening Downtown Davey Brown"?  He'd respond with a big smile and a wave.  He was just a cool guy and will be missed.  Whenever I ride through town I'll see him walking and think of him always.  God bless the family and prayers to all.

My sincerest sympathies,
