Arthur W. Renz

Arthur W. Renz, 96, of Atglen, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Harrison Senior Living of Christiana.  He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Donohue) Renz, with whom he shared 72 years of marriage.  

Born in Coatesville, Arthur was the son of the late Norma and George Renz.  

Arthur served honorably in the US Army during WWII in the European Theater with the 845th Engineer Aviation Battalion achieving the rank of Sergeant.  

He worked for the former Lukens Steel Company as a pipe fitter for 35 years.  

Arthur belonged to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Coatesville.  He was a member of the  Brandywine-Goddard Lodge F.&.A.M. #383 of Coatesville.  

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children: Peggy Arbuckle of Ephrata, Gail Murphy of Atglen and Janet Myer of Strasburg; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 19th at 2 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg followed by interment in the Fairview Cemetery of Coatesville.  The visitation will be held from 1 until 2 PM.
